Job Title: Housekeeper

Reports to: Assistant Inn Manager and Inn Manager

Classification: Non-Exempt

The Opportunity:

A Housekeeper is primarily responsible for maintaining and cleaning guest rooms, hallways and public areas in the inn, servicing guest rooms and replenishing guest room supplies while following company standards. In some instances, this role would also be responsible for conducting ‘deep cleaning’ activities within the guest room in conjunction with preventative maintenance tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• This position requires strong attention to detail.
• Must be able to lift and carry stacks of linens up to 30 lbs.
• Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods of time.
• Be able to lift, reach, bend, and stoop.
• Must have high sanitation standards including washing hands frequently throughout the shift.
• Must work well in stressful high-pressure situations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly service-oriented manner.
• Maintain regular attendance and a schedule which will vary according to the needs of the Inn.
• Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways. And other areas so that health stands are met.
• Clean furniture and fixtures
• Make beds to Inn Standards
• Inspect and turn mattresses.
• Thoroughly clean and restock the required number of guest rooms per shift.
• Complete all pre-cleaning duties including but not limited to guest supplies cleaning supplies and linen for housekeeping.
• Remove all trash and dirty linen from guest rooms.
• Perform other tasks/jobs as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
• Deep cleaning tasks
• Ensure confidentiality and security of guest rooms.
• Observe and report damage to the Inn.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time and Seasonal

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Day shift

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Cleaning: 1 year (Preferred)

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
